  7. uni-SPF is a UNIX implementation of IBM's popular user interface for the
  8. MVS/TSO environment - ISPF. It includes an editor/browser and A/S utilities,
  9. accessed through a menuing system built using uni-REXX and IBM's SAA dialog
  10. Management Server. Unlike difficult-to-learn UNIX programming tools, uni-SPF
  11. will provide mainframe users an easy transition to the UNIX world. Features
  12. include support for multi-level programming libraries, full-screen context
  13. editing, simple one-character edit commands, browse that allows user to look at
  14. a file without changing it, dataset utilities for easier dataset maintenance,
  15. and a dialog management services feature that consists primarily of managing
  16. dialogs for menus, processing functions, data entry panels, display panels, and
  17. message services. uni-SPF is a complete operating environment that an end user
  18. can handle effectively without having detailed knowledge of the underlying UNIX
  19. operating system.
